Do not drink grapefruit juice or eat grapefruit during your treatment with Sofosbuvir , as the chances of side effects may be more.
What should I do if I forget a dose?
If you miss a dose of Sofosbuvir by less than 12 hours, take the missed dose as soon as you remember it and then take the next dose at the scheduled time. However, if you miss a dose by more than 12 hours, skip the missed dose and continue your regular dosing schedule. Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed one.

To treat chronic hepatitis C, a viral infection of the liver, sofosbuvir is used with other antiviral drugs. It works by lowering the amount of hepatitis C virus in your body, which may aid in the recovery of your liver. Chronic hepatitis C infection can result in substantial liver damage, such as scarring or malignancy. In conjunction with other antiviral drugs, sofosbuvir lowers the amount of hepatitis C virus in the body and aids the immune system in fighting the infection.
It's unclear whether this treatment will keep you from spreading the illness to others. To reduce the danger of spreading the virus to others, don't share needles and practise "safer sex." To have the best impact, sofosbuvir must be used in conjunction with other medications.
